Who we are

TradesCE LLC (“TradesCE”, “we”, “us”) operates tradesce.com, an online continuing-education platform for licensed trade and professional license holders. Information we collect

• Account and identity information — your name, email address, phone number, and, where a state licensing board requires it for continuing-education credit, your license number and related identifying details.
• Purchase information — the courses you buy and your billing details. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we never store your full card number.
• Course activity — lesson progress, quiz answers, and time spent in course content. State boards require providers to verify seat time and completion, so this record-keeping is a regulatory obligation, not optional analytics.
• Technical information — IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

• To provide your courses, track your progress, and issue completion certificates.
• To report your completed hours to state licensing boards where reporting is required or you request it — this is the core purpose of the service.
• To process payments, respond to support requests, and send transactional messages about your courses.
• To send renewal reminders and course announcements you can opt out of at any time.
• To meet record-retention rules that state boards impose on approved providers.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with: (1) state licensing boards and their reporting systems, to report your earned credit hours; (2) service providers that run our platform — payment processing, hosting, and email delivery — under contracts limiting their use of your data; and (3) authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

Retention

Course-completion and seat-time records are kept as long as state board rules require (commonly four to seven years, varying by state). Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.

Your choices

• You can access and update your account information at any time from your account page.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your personal information by emailing contact@tradesce.com. Note that we must retain records state boards require us to keep, even after an account is closed.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in, your cart, and site security, plus basic analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), payment details are handled by a PCI-compliant processor, and access to personal information inside TradesCE is limited to staff who need it to operate the service.

Children

Our service is for licensed professionals and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
