About TradesCE
Continuing education and pre-license training for the licensed trades, built by a team that has done this before.
Figures reflect the founding team's track record in online continuing education, including work at a previous company.
A decade in trades education, under a new name
TradesCE is new. The people behind it are not.
Our founding team built and ran one of the largest online continuing education providers in the licensed trades, serving more than 100,000 electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, contractors and other licensed professionals across all 50 states before the company was acquired.
A five-year non-compete followed that sale. It has now expired, and we are building again — with everything we learned the first time, and none of the constraints of a platform designed a decade ago.
Our Mission
Renewing a license should take an afternoon, not a weekend. We build continuing education and pre-license courses that meet each state's rules exactly, run on any device, and get you your certificate the moment you finish.
Our Vision
To be the most trusted continuing education platform in the licensed trades — the provider a tradesperson returns to every renewal cycle because it has never once cost them a headache with their board.
Why Choose TradesCE?
Built to Your State’s Rules
Every course is written against the specific board rule that governs it — the required hours, the mandated topics, the seat-time standard.
Self-Paced Learning
Study on your own schedule from any device. Pick up exactly where you left off.
Written by People Who Know the Trade
Course material developed with licensed professionals and reviewed against the current code cycle.
Instant Certificates
Your certificate is issued the moment you complete the course — no waiting, no mailing.
Records Built for Reporting
Completion records are kept in the format each board expects, so reporting and audits are straightforward.
Straightforward Pricing
One price per course. No subscription, no hidden fees, no upsells at the certificate screen.
State Approval
Continuing education is regulated state by state. Some boards approve the provider, some approve each individual course, and some require both. We work through that process board by board as we open each market.
How we handle it
- A course is only offered for sale in a state once the approval that state requires is in place.
- Each course page lists the board it satisfies and the hours it carries.
- Course content is reviewed against the current code and rule cycle for the state it serves.
Requirements change. Always confirm your own renewal requirements with your licensing board before you buy.
