New York City Department of Buildings requires 8 hours of approved continuing education every year. The hours must cover these topics:

  • Review of changes between the NYC 2007 and 2022 codes, including Local Laws 39/2015, 46/2017, 108/2013, 130/2013 and 78/2017 and Buildings Bulletin 2013-016
  • OSHA 1926 overview
  • NYC Department of Buildings overview including 1 RCNY 12-01 emergency power system requirements, bulletins, forms, inspection logs and wind and weather advisories
  • Electrical business practices
  • Electrical jobsite safety and hazards
  • Electrical new technology
  • Corruption prevention standards
