Course description
Prepare for the Utah Contractor Business and Law Examination with a course built to the same outline Utah requires of its pre-licensure providers (R156-55a-302f): 15 hours of financial responsibility, 6 hours of construction business practices, 2 hours of regulatory requirements and 2 hours of mechanics lien fundamentals including the State Construction Registry, plus the business-and-law topics the general and primary classifications are examined on. Every lesson pairs slides with knowledge checks and instructor video.
Important: Utah law (Utah Code 58-55-302(1)(e) and R156-55a-302f) requires the statutory pre-licensure course to be taken live from one of three named providers (Associated General Contractors of Utah, Utah Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, or the Utah Home Builders Association). This online course does not replace that requirement; it prepares you for the exam and for running a compliant Utah contracting business.
